Greenville Wins 2025 UMAC Men’s Tennis South Division Championship

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Greenville University Panthers (19-5, 4-0 UMAC) clinched the 2025 UMAC Men’s Tennis South Division Championship on Friday with by winning the UMAC South Division Tournament. The UMAC South Division title is the second in program history for the Panthers.

In the semifinal match against The W, the Panthers took the doubles point with a pair of 6-0 wins at the #1 and #2 match. In singles, the Panthers earned five 6-0, 6-0 sweeps to clinch the match 6-0.
 
Greenville faced Principia in the championship match. In doubles, Rafael Rodriguez and Jean Sanabria took the #1 match 6-3 while Clark Kent and Francisco Trujillo won the #3 match 6-1 to clinch the doubles point for Greenville.
 
In singles of the championship match, Andres Sanchez won the #1 match by 6-0, 6-0 sweep, Kent took the #5 match 6-1, 6-2, and Jade Dynamic earned a 6-0, 6-3 win at the #6 match to secure the 4-0 team victory for Greenville.

With the championship victory, Greenville has clinched the No. 1 seed of the South Division for the 2025 UMAC Men’s Tennis Tournament. The conference tournament, a four-team tournament hosted at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, begins Friday, May 2 (semifinals) and concludes Saturday, May 3 (championship). The tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the 2025 NCAA DIII Men's Tennis Championship.
