MANKATO, Minn.--The second day of the 2026 UMAC Baseball Tournament took place on Friday at ISG Field in Mankato, Minnesota. By the end of the day, Bethany Lutheran and the University of Wisconsin-Superior had punched its tickets to Saturday’s championship day.

Game 3: Minnesota Morris 12, Northwestern 9
The lead was back and forth until the Cougars tallied five in the third inning to take the 9-3 lead. The Eagles would rally late as they scored three in the eighth to whittle the margin to three.

Minnesota Morris finished with 17 hits and Northwestern had 13 in the contest. Landen Meyerdirk and Blake Imhoff both went 3-5 at the plate for UMM and Kason Pietruszewski and Jeremiah Holmes both finished 3-5 at the dish for UNW.
 
Game 4: Bethany Lutheran 9 UW-Superior 5
The Vikings took the 2-0 lead in the second on RBI groundouts. The YellowJackets tallied one run in the third, fourth, and fifth innings for the 3-2 lead.

Bethany Lutheran responded with three in the sixth on a three-run homer to left from Yunior Pena Torres.

After a run by each team in the seventh, UW-Superior tallied its last run of the game in the eighth on a sac fly to slice the Vikings’ lead to one (6-5).

BLC tallied two in its next at-bats on Pena Torres’ second homer of the day and a two-run triple by Kyle Carlberg. With the win, the Vikings advanced to Saturday’s Championship.

Game 5: UW-Superior 24, Minnesota Morris 6 (7 innings)
In the final game of the day for UW-Superior, Tanner Voight was 4-4 with five runs and five RBI, Trey Sybrant was 3-4 with two runs and six RBI and Wylee Lottman was 3-5 with two runs and four RBI. For the Cougars, Ben Meuser was 2-4 with two runs, Kellan Oligmueller was 2-4, and Aidan Moran was 2-3.
