2025 UMAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Awards

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced the recipients of their 2025 men’s outdoor track & field awards on Wednesday. The awards are nominated and voted on by the UMAC track & field head coaches. Only results from the UMAC Outdoor Championship meet count for consideration in the awards. 
 
Arthur Robinson of the Martin Luther College Knights earned the Top Scoring Athlete of the Meet award and was named the Rookie of the Year. The freshman led the conference with 40 points at the UMAC Championship, winning the 4x100m (42.81) and 4x400m relays (3:23.72). Robinson was also the runner-up in the triple jump (12.99), long jump (6.45), and 200m (22.16), placed third in the 400m (50.23), and took fourth in the 100m (11.35m).
 
Andrew Deedon of the Crown College Polars was named the Track Athlete of the Meet. The sophomore led the UMAC with 36.5 points in track events, winning the 1500m (4:01.77), the 3000m steeplechase (10:08.48), and the 4x800m relay (8:30.00). Deedon was also the runner-up in the 800m (1:58.40) and placed third in the 5000m (16:21.54).
 
Steven Petkau of the Crown Polars was named the Field Athlete of the Meet. The senior earned 20 points for the Polars at the UMAC Championship. Petkau won both the triple jump (13.68m) and the long jump (6.52m).

The Martin Luther Knights coaches earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The Knights, led by head coach Breanna Olson, won the UMAC Outdoor Championship for the first time in program history with a 234-point performance.
 
The University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets won the team sportsmanship award, an accolade that is selected by the UMAC coaches and awarded to the team that best represents sportsmanship throughout the entire season. Each team also had one representative earn all-sportsmanship honors.
 
All-Conference recognition is given to individuals who finished in first or second place in an individual event and to members of relay teams who finished in first place in a relay event at the UMAC Outdoor Championship.
