2026 UMAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Awards

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced the recipients of their 2025-26 men’s outdoor track & field awards on Wednesday. The awards are nominated and voted on by the UMAC track & field head coaches. Only results from the UMAC Outdoor Championship meet count for consideration in the awards. 
 
Jeremiah Stanton of Martin Luther earned the Top Scoring Athlete of the Meet award. He scored 44.5 points as he won the 400m hurdles, long jump and triple jump, placed third in the 110m hurdles, took fourth in the high jump and was on the second-place 4x100 and 4x400m relay teams at the UMAC Championships.

Kyle Peterson of UW-Superior and Caden Swoboda of Crown earned co-Track Athletes of the Meet. Peterson won the 110m hurdles and 200m dash, was a member of the winning 4x100m relay team, took third in the 100m dash and was on the third-place 4x400m relay team. Swoboda won the 800, was on the winning 4x400m relay team, took second in the 1500, was on the third-place 4x800m relay team and took sixth in the 400.

Robert Perry of Martin Luther won the Field Athlete of the Meet award. He won the discus throw and the shot put and took second in the hammer throw at the UMAC Championships. His shot put (16.22m) set a new UMAC Championships record.

Kyle Peterson of the Yellowjackets earned Rookie of the Year honors. Peterson won the 110m hurdles and 200m dash, was a member of the winning 4x100m relay team, took third in the 100m dash and was on the third-place 4x400m relay team. His 110m hurdles time (14.71) set a new UMAC Championships record.
 
The Martin Luther coaches earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The Knights, led by head coach Breanna Olson, won the UMAC Outdoor Championship for the second-straight year with a 286.5-point performance.
 
Martin Luther and Northwestern won the team sportsmanship award, an accolade that is selected by the UMAC coaches and awarded to the team that best represents sportsmanship throughout the entire season. Each team also had one representative earn all-sportsmanship honors.
 
All-Conference recognition is given to individuals who finished in first, second, or third place in an individual event and to members of relay teams who finished in first place in a relay event at the UMAC Championship.
