Northwestern wins 2025 UMAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Northwestern (20-7 overall, 11-0 UMAC) won the 2025 UMAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship on Friday night with the 3-1 victory over Bethany Lutheran (15-11, 7-4).
 
The regular season title is the 15th in a row and the 18th in the past 19 years for the Eagles.
 
Northwestern claimed the first set 25-23 before the Vikings evened the match as they won set two 25-16. The Eagles would take the final two sets (25-17, 25-15) for the win and title.
 
Miranda Wyatt had a team-high 11 kills and Marley Aune joined her in double digits with 10. Wyatt recorded a blistering .435 attack percentage on the night and Aune added three solo blocks and two service aces.
 
Anna Olsen finished just shy of double figure kills with nine, but had the second-best hitting percentage at .304.
 
Setter Addeson Jenniges tallied 42 assists as she ran the Eagles’ offense. Mikayla Wilber had 10 digs to anchor the defense. Ella Bourne and Grace Moravchik followed closely with eight digs each.
 
The Vikings owned the team advantages in service aces (12-4) and the slight lead in blocks (5-4).
 
Maddie Meyer led Bethany Lutheran with 13 kills and a .423 hitting percentage.
 
With the championship victory, Northwestern has clinched the No. 1 seed in the UMAC Volleyball Tournament. The Eagles will host No. 4 Minnesota Morris in the semifinal round on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m.
