Northwestern wins 2025 UMAC Volleyball Tournament Championship

ST. PAUL, Minn.- The University of Northwestern (23-7 overall, 12-0 UMAC) won the 2025 UMAC Volleyball Tournament Championship on Saturday night with a 3-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Superior (21-12, 9-3). The tournament title is the Eagles’ seventh-straight, 13th in the past 14 years, and 19th overall in program history.

Northwestern claimed the first set 25-14 before the Yellowjackets won the second frame 26-24. The Eagles then took the next two sets 25-20 and 25-15.

Marley Aune led all players with 16 kills and an impressive .371 hitting percentage. She added three solo blocks, five block assists, and two digs to earn tournament MVP honors.

Two teammates joined her in double digits kills as Ana Egge had 13 and Anja Jarchow tallied 10.

Addeson Jenniges had 50 set assists as she ran the team’s offense.

Three UNW players finished in double digit digs as Grace Moravchik had 20, Hannah Rich added 15 and Mikayla Wilber had 11.

Katlyn Jones led UWS with 14 kills and a .345 hitting percentage.

Northwestern owned the team advantages in kills, blocks, assists, and digs. Defensively, the Eagles held the ‘Jackets to a .080 team hitting percentage.

With the win, Northwestern has earned the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles will learn their opponent and game location during the NCAA Selection Show Monday at noon.
