ST. PAUL, Minn. – The opening round of the 2025 UMAC Men’s Soccer Tournament took place on Wednesday night as four teams competed in a pair of semifinal contests. The No. 1 seed University of Wisconsin-Superior and No. 2 seed Bethany Lutheran won its games to advance to the championship.

UW-Superior (15-6 overall, 12-0 UMAC) hosted Crown (6-12-3, 5-6-1) for their semifinal match.
 
In the tournament game on Wednesday night, UW-Superior earned a 4-0 victory over Crown to advance to this Saturday’s championship game. Seth Davidson netted the first two goals for the ‘Jackets at 5:47 and 7:37. Rowan Wagner and Orlando Fertleman assisted on the first score and Wanger and Harvey McLoughlin assisted on the second tally.

Jacob Wyles netted his attempt on a pass from McLoughlin at 23:27.

In the second half, Joel Thomas tallied the final goal at 57:00 on a feed from Bryce Boldt.

The ‘Jackets owned the team advantages in shots (34-3) and corner kicks (11-0).

Davidson’s two goals ties for second on the single game high list in tournament history.

In Wednesday night’s playoff game, Bethany Lutheran defeated UNW 3-0 to advance to Saturday’s tournament title game.
 
Juan Campos connected on a pass from Santiago Rios for the first goal at 26:18. Jamie van Wijland doubled the Vikings’ lead at 40:26 on a feed from Gil Frazao.

Guilherme Gancho tallied the final score at 79:10 on an assist from Goncalo Nolasco.

Brady Price earned the shutout.

BLC owned the team advantages in shots (19-2) and corner kicks (13-1).
