UW-Superior wins 2025 UMAC Men’s Soccer Regular Season Championship

SUPERIOR, Wis. –  The University of Wisconsin-Superior (13-6 overall, 11-0 UMAC) won the 2025 UMAC Men’s Soccer Regular Season Championship on Friday with the 4-0 win over Bethany Lutheran. This marks the eighth-straight UMAC regular season title and eighth overall in program history for the Yellowjackets. All eight titles have been won under head coach Joe Mooney.

UW-Superior jumped to an early 3-0 lead within the first five minutes into the contest. Jake Kidd connected on a pass from Joel Thomas at 1:51, Jacob Wyles' goal made it 2-0 at 3:42 and the 'Jackets scored their third goal of the night at 4:22 as it was Kidd and Thomas once more for that score.

This remained the score through halftime. UWS tallied its final goal of the contest at 56:63 by Seth Davidson on double assists from Harvey McLoughlin and Ben Limon. 

Patrick Sessions earned the shutout in net for the 'Jackets. 

The Vikings owned the team advantages in shots (16-10) and corner kicks (5-1).

With the regular season title victory, UW-Superior has clinched the No. 1 seed in the UMAC Men’s Soccer Tournament. The Yellowjackets will host the No. 4 seed that is yet to be determined based on Saturday's results in the semifinal round on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
