Northwestern wins 2025 UMAC Women’s Cross Country Championship; Crown’s Dufault repeats as individual champion

WINTHROP, Minn.—The University of Northwestern won the 2025 UMAC Women’s Cross Country Championship Saturday with a team score of 30 points. This was the first title for the Eagles since 2000 and is their seventh championship in program history.
 
Ella Dufault of Crown repeated as the UMAC Individual Championship, leading the conference field with a time of 23:12.8. She is the first women’s runner with multiple titles since Casey Hovland won three titles from 2015-17. Dufault’s time marked the 12th best in championship history.
 
Northwestern’s Emery Maki and Martin Luther’s Jemimah Habben added their name to the top 20 list as their times now stand 15th and 19th, respectively.
