PAUL, Minn.---Each week on Thursdays, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) will highlight one student-athlete who serves as an integral member of their institutional Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in the "UMAC SAAC Spotlight." At the institutional, conference and national levels, SAAC represents the Division III student-athlete voice and provides opportunities for student-athletes to be actively engaged in their campus communities. |

List any specific roles you have on your campus SAAC?
Although I am only in my second year as a SAAC member at UW-Superior, I have done my best to be involved and voice the opinion of the men's basketball team throughout meetings and activities.
How did you get involved in your campus SAAC?
During my freshman year the basketball coach approached me and told me about SAAC and that he felt I would be a great representative for our team.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of SAAC?
Having the opportunity to meet new people around campus and represent the UWS basketball team in our community.
What has been one of your favorite SAAC initiatives or activities?
Caroling for cans is my favorite initiative so far. It was a fun way to engage with the community for a great cause.
