UMAC SAAC Spotlight: Isabelle Haverkampf, Northland
ST. PAUL, Minn.---Each week on Thursdays, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) will highlight one student-athlete who serves as an integral member of their institutional Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in the "UMAC SAAC Spotlight." At the institutional, conference and national levels, SAAC represents the Division III student-athlete voice and provides opportunities for student-athletes to be actively engaged in their campus communities. |

All About SAAC
What are your roles within your campus SAAC group?
Because this is my first year serving on our campus’s SAAC, I have yet to be involved in a lot. I helped our SAAC with a Halloween event.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of SAAC?
I’m looking forward to helping plan events and to help foster a positive student-athlete image here at Northland. I enjoy getting to meet with like-minded student athletes who share similar values and care about the well-being of our fellow student-athletes on campus.
What has been one of your favorite SAAC initiatives or activities?
The annual Haunted Ravine event we host on campus! This is like a haunted trail that we invite community members as well as students and faculty to. We get to dress up in costumes and scare participants, kind of like a haunted house! This activity is one of my favorites as it helps us involve our whole community as well as those on campus.
