PAUL, Minn.---Each week on Thursdays, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) will highlight one student-athlete who serves as an integral member of their institutional Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in the "UMAC SAAC Spotlight." At the institutional, conference and national levels, SAAC represents the Division III student-athlete voice and provides opportunities for student-athletes to be actively engaged in their campus communities. |

What are your roles within your campus SAAC group?
Vice President (2020-2021) and President (2021-2022)
How did you get involved in your campus SAAC?
I got involved in SAAC at UWS by asking my coach about ways I could get more involved in the athletics department and the student-athlete experience.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of SAAC?
My favorite part of being a member of SAAC is working with a group of dedicated student-athletes on a variety of different aspects of the athletic department. It is really amazing to see our hard work put into place!
What has been one of your favorite SAAC initiatives or activities?
My favorite SAAC initiative is the UWS Week of Giving! This week of events allows our athletic department to help out the community around us that supports us in so many ways. We do a variety of things from Caroling for Cans, Toy drives, writing letters, and volunteering!
