SUPERIOR, Wis.---For the first time in program history, the University of Minnesota Morris won the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship after holding off the College of St. Scholastica by 24 points Saturday. The Cougars collected 139 total points to become the first team outside of St. Scholastica to win the conference indoor title.

Notables
- Minnesota Morris won a total of five events including a clean sweep of the throwing events. Crown College, University of Northwestern and St. Scholastica each won three total events.
- The Cougars' Jessica Bliese made it a three-peat in the shot put with a throw of 13.20 meters (43-3.75) and also claimed victory in the weight throw with a mark of 15.11 meters (49-7). She contributed 20 points to the Cougars' total points. The senior was the lone repeat individual champion in any event.
- Jasmine Terry also collected 21.5 points for the Cougars. She claimed victory in the high jump with a mark of 1.48 meters (4-10.25). She also finished third in the 60-meter dash and fourth in the 200-meter dash.
- Kacy Selje of Northwestern finished as the top scoring athlete in the meet with 32.5 points and two individual event wins. She won the 60-meter (8.33) and 200-meter (28.03) events while anchoring the Eagles' winning 4 x 200-meter relay. The rookie also placed third in the pole vault and fifth in the 400-meter dash.
- In addition to Bliese and Selje, Abby Hagen of Crown won two individual events claiming victory in the 800-meter run (2:31.22) and the mile run (5:31.95).
