ST. PAUL, Minn.---Each week on Thursdays, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) will highlight one student-athlete who serves as an integral member of their institutional Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in the "UMAC SAAC Spotlight." At the institutional, conference and national levels, SAAC represents the Division III student-athlete voice and provides opportunities for student-athletes to be actively engaged in their campus communities. | About DIII SAAC | About UMAC SAAC

All About SAAC
What are your roles within your campus SAAC group?
Women's Basketball Representative and Volleyball Representative

How did you get involved in your campus SAAC?
I heard about it from my academic advisor who was the SAAC advisor.

What do you enjoy most about being a member of SAAC?
The events that we get to plan for our sports programs and that we can outreach to the high schools around us to show how great it is to be a collegiate athlete.

What has been one of your favorite SAAC initiatives or activities?
My freshman year SAAC planned a Friday Athlete Night which was a lot of fun because all the sports got to know each other and it encouraged the athletes to support each other on and off the court or field.
