Corbett later won his third individual event when he set a new meet record in the 3,000-meter run. The senior clocked a time of 8:50.04 that was nearly 30 seconds faster than the previous best time set a year ago.

The final men's record of the day fell just before the end of the meet as Thomas Udenberg of Wisconsin-Superior won the shot put with a toss of 15.87 meters (52-1). His mark betters the previous record set a year ago.

Minnesota Morris also saw first-year Devan Griffin upset reigning champion Corey Anderson of St. Scholastica in the triple jump. Griffin won the event with a mark of 12.76 meters (41-10.5).

Wil Maki of Northwestern claimed his first conference title winning the 800-meter run that was less than a second from the UMAC record. He finished nearly a second ahead of the next competitor with a time of 1:56.90 to win the title.

Northwestern also claimed an individual event champion in the men's pole vault. First-year Josiah Forker cleared a height of 3.95 meters (12-11.5) to record the Eagles' second individual champion of the meet.
