Beyond the plate, Bethany Lutheran was also gifted on the mound, as Cody Hallahan pitched lights out versus Carleton College. The Viking's hurler pitched five shutout innings, striking out ten of 16 batters. Hallahan allowed only one hit and one walk, while his Vikings earned their first victory of the season.

Cody Hallahan improved his season record to 3-0, as he pitched a one-run gem against St. John's University. In six innings, Hallahan mystified the Johnnies with 11 strikeouts and no walks. His opponents mustered just two hits and a .095 batting average.

Ryan Nelson - JR | P | Northwestern College
Ryan Nelson displayed leadership on the mound for Northwestern in the first of a two-game sweep over Finlandia University. Nelson pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just five hits to go along with two strikeouts.

Bethany Lutheran's Cody Hallanan displayed terrific leadership and an outstanding presence on the mound as he recorded 14 strikeouts and one walk versus Minnesota-Morris. In his two starts throughout the week, Hallahan pitched nine innings, giving up five hits, two runs, and one walk while holding his opponents to a .156 batting average.

Jake Nystrom - FR | P | College of Saint Scholastica
In just his second collegiate start, St. Scholastica's Jake Nystrom struck out six batters in six innings without giving up a run. In the game, Nystrom allowed three hits, in which only one runner was able to reach second base. On the day, the freshman standout held his opponents to a .150 batting average.

Matt Lewis - JR | P | College of Saint Scholastica
St. Scholastica's Matt Lewis had some great outings last week as he went 2-0 on two appearances. In his two starts, Lewis recorded a 1.38 ERA with a complete game shutout. He allowed only 13 hits, three walks, and two earned runs in 13 innings pitched. Lewis struck out 15 batters, eight of which came in his first collegiate shutout verses St. Olaf and seven over conference opponent, Bethany Lutheran
