UW-Superior Wins 2026 UMAC Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Wisconsin-Superior (19-7 overall) won the 2026 UMAC Women’s Tennis Tournament Championship on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Greenville University (17-8). This is the second UMAC postseason title, and second-straight in program history for the Yellowjackets.

UW-Superior fell behind 1-0 early after Greenville won the doubles point. However, the Yellowjackets thrived in the singles matches. UW-Superior won at No. 1, 5, and No. 6.
 
Up 3-1, the championship was decided by No. 4 singles. Claudia Curtis clinched tournament title for UW-Superior with a 6-1, 3-6, and 6-3 victory to secure the 4-1 victory.

With the UMAC Tournament victory, UW-Superior has earned the UMAC’s automatic bid and will advance to compete in the NCAA DIII Women’s Tennis Tournament. The NCAA Selection Show is Monday, May 4 at 11 a.m.
