UW-Superior wins 2025-26 UMAC Kruse Award

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior has won the 2025-26 Kruse Award following the conclusion of the collegiate athletics year this spring. This is the fifth consecutive Kruse Award won by UW-Superior and the fifth in school history.

The award, named in honor of long-time Northwestern College (Wis.) and Martin Luther College athletic director Jerome Kruse, travels to the college with the most points accumulated by the place finishes of the college's athletic teams in the final standings of 18 conference sponsored sports.
 
UW-Superior stands atop the Kruse Award standings with 89.5 points after winning conference titles in seven of the 18 UMAC sports this year: men's cross country, men's soccer, men's golf, men's indoor track and field, and women's tennis, and were co-Champions in baseball and men's tennis.

Northwestern ranked second with 78.5 points after earning conference regular season titles in four of the eight UMAC fall sports: women’s cross country, women's golf, women's soccer, and volleyball. The Eagles were co-Champions in men's tennis and softball.

Bethany Lutheran follows in third with 69.5 points and won the women's basketball regular season title and was co-Champions in baseball, softball, and men's tennis. 

Crown is fourth with 68.5 points and won the football, women's indoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and field championships.

Martin Luther finished fifth with 61 points and won the men's outdoor track and field title.

University of Minnesota Morris is sixth with 50.5 points, and North Central completed the standings in seventh with 28.5 points. The Rams claimed the final remaining championship in men's basketball.
