2025 UMAC Men’s Golf Awards

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced the recipients of the 2025 men’s golf awards on Wednesday. The awards are nominated and voted on by the conference's head coaches.
 
Andrew Rude of UW-Superior was named the UMAC Player of the Year. The senior was the Individual Champion at the UMAC Championship, as he won the three-player playoff for the crown. He carded a 223 over the three rounds which included a tournament-low of 72 in the second round. Rude had the sixth-best full season average score in the conference at 75.6 (adjusted to 73.8 for awards voting per the coaches’ guidelines) through 13 rounds.
 
Teammate Andrew Slatten of the Yellowjackets was named the UMAC Rookie of the Year. The freshman was one of the competitors in the three-player playoff at the UMAC Championships. Slatten had a season average score of 75.5 (adjusted to 73.55 for awards voting per the coaches’ guidelines) through 15 rounds, which ranked 5th in the conference.

Paul Eberhardt of UW-Superior was selected as the UMAC Coach of the Year by his peers. In his 10th season as the head men’s coach, the ‘Jackets won their sixth UMAC Championship in eight years. UW-Superior won the conference title with a team score of 913 over the three-round tournament to finish six strokes ahead of the runner-up.
 
Martin Luther won the team sportsmanship award, an accolade that is selected by the UMAC coaches and awarded to the team that best represents sportsmanship throughout the entire season, including the championship event.

15 student-athletes were named All-Conference. Each team also had one representative named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
