UMAC Athletes of the Week: November 18-24, 2024

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced their Athlete of the Week award winners Tuesday in the sports of men's and women's basketball. The awards are nominated by UMAC coaches and athletics communications staff and selected each week by the latter group.
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Adam Loberger, Freshman, Martin Luther Knights
Appleton, Wis. / Fox Valley Lutheran
- Loberger averaged 25.5 ppg in two games played this past week at home against Lakeland and Lawrence. In Tuesday's 91-79 win over the Muskies, Loberger put up 36 points, seven rebounds, and three steals on 68 percent shooting from the field. In a close 83-79 loss to Lawrence on Saturday, the freshman finished with 15 points and four assists.
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn VanderPloeg, Senior, North Central Rams
Clear Lake, Iowa / Clear Lake
- VanderPloeg averaged 18.0 ppg, 9.7 rpg, and 3.3 bpg through three games last week, two of which were double-double performances. The senior currently leads the UMAC in total points, rebounds, and blocks.
 
 
The UMAC is an NCAA Division III member comprised of eight full-time member schools from Minnesota and Wisconsin: Bethany Lutheran College, Crown College, Martin Luther College, North Central University, Northland College, University of Minnesota Morris, University of Northwestern, and University of Wisconsin-Superior.
