ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, and men's and women's golf. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated by UMAC coaches and athletics communications/sports information staff and selected each week by the latter group. 

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Izayah Boss, Junior, University of Minnesota Morris
Bothell, Wash. / North Creek
- Had a career day with 20 carries for 228 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-22 Minnesota Morris victory at Lawrence University.
- Both touchdown runs (two yards and 74 yards) came in the fourth quarter to increase the Cougar lead from 24-14 to 38-14 and push the game out of reach.

FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Thomas Linnear, Senior, Greenville University
Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East
- Thomas was a dominant force in holding Adrian to just three offensive touchdowns.
- He finished the game with eight tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced a fumble that he also recovered.

FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lucas Hermo, Senior, Greenville University
Madrid, Spain/Libre Micoel
- Scored nine points on the day, going 6-for-6 on extra points and made a 32-yard field goal.
- He also averaged 53.8 yards per kickoff on eight kickoffs.
 
VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abby Glanzer, Junior, No. 6 University of Northwestern
Brandon, S.D./Sioux Falls Christian
- 53 kills in 11 sets (4.8 kills per set) in a 3-0 week.
- 24 kills, two assists, 11 digs, three total blocks, and an ace in a win on the road against #18 Gustavus Adolphus.
 
VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Megan Van Gheem, Senior, Northland College
Indianapolis, Ind./Cardinal Ritter
- In three matches, tallied 98 assists (37, 25, 31).
- Averaged a service ace a game on the week.
 
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marley Aune, Junior, No. 6 University of Northwestern
New Brighton, Minn./Avail Academy
- Had a phenomenal week blocking at the net with 15 total blocks in 11 sets (1.3 blocks per set) including four solo blocks.
- Had a huge game against #18 Gustavus Adolphus with 15 kills and 7 blocks.
 
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Harrison Tibbetts, Sophomore, Northland College
Wollaston, England/Wollaston Village
- Scored four goals on the week to help the Jacks go 1-0-1 in UMAC play.
- Scored a hat trick and had the winning goal over North Central.

MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jamie van Wijland, Freshman, Bethany Lutheran College
Hoom, Netherlands/Oscar Romero
- The first-year shifted to the center defensive back position and helped the Vikings pitch a shutout against the Yellowjackets for a 1-0 win.
- Played over 60 minutes against Martin Luther on Tuesday with the Knights not recording a goal when he was on the field.
 
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Megan Moeller, Senior, University of Northwestern
Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan Christian School
- Moeller lit up the stat sheet, scoring five goals in two conference games.
- Scored the lone UNW goal at UW-Superior and added four goals and an assist in a win at North Central.
 
WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rebekah Schroeder, Freshman, Martin Luther College
Sturgeon Bay, Wis./Luther Prep
- Allowed just one goal and recording 17 saves against Bethany Lutheran.
 
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Austin Carlson, Junior, Crown College
Montrose, Minn./Delano
- Led the Polars runners with a time of 28:03.71 in the 8k run which put him in 8th place at the Grandview Invitational.
 
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Ella Dufault, Freshman, Crown College
- Continued her impressive season as she finished with a time of 20:06.07 which was good for second place, just fourteen seconds from the leader at the Grandview 5k.

MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Shane Seiffert, Sophomore, University of Northwestern
Corcoran, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong
- In his four rounds last week, Seiffert shot 77, 81, 69 and 76.
- Friday's 69 (-3) was a career-best.

WOMEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Morgan Eckman, Freshman, University of Northwestern
Jordan, Minn./Jordan
- Once again broke her own Northwestern school record with a round of 74 (+2) on Saturday at the Midwest Region Fall Classic.
- Her first round score was 78 and she finished in a tie for second overall among the nearly 200 participants.
