UMAC announces changes to basketball tournament schedules
ST. PAUL, Minn.---Due to predicted inclement weather impacts on institutional travel, the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) has adjusted the schedules for the upcoming 2022 men's and women's basketball tournaments.
All rounds of the conference tournaments will still take place but will each move one day later. The quarterfinal contests scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22 will now take place Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the same times and locations. The semifinal rounds originally scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 24 will now be conducted Friday, Feb. 25 at the highest remaining seeds. If an institution hosts just one semifinal, the game start time will be 7 p.m. If an institution hosts two contests, the women's game will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
The championship contests that were slated for Saturday, Feb. 26 are now going to take place Sunday, Feb. 27. If an institution hosts just one championship, the start time will be 2 p.m. If both games are hosted at the same location, the women's game will start at 12 p.m. followed by the men's game at 2:30 p.m.
