ST. PAUL, MN - It's October, and UMAC play is well underway in every sport. The UMAC Golf Championship tees off on Thursday, and we're reaching or have passed the halfway point of the year in all other fall sports. Below you will find the UMAC Players of the Week for the week of September 26 - October 2.

Men’s Golf
  • Brady Raph (Minnesota Morris)
    • Raph tied for medalist honors in one tournament this week and finished in the top 7 in all 3 events.
    • Shot an 83 (7th place), 76 (2nd), and 73 (1st).
Women’s Golf
  • Kelly Van Den Bussche (Northwestern)
    • Lead the Eagles to 3 invite wins last week,
    • Van Den Bussche won the MLC invite on Saturday shooting a 79 (+7).
Women’s Cross Country
  • Abby Pausch (Crown)
    • Ran the 6k in 24:51.78.
    • Pausch's time was 4 seconds off of her personal best in the 6k.
Men’s Cross Country
  • Jeremiah VanAcker (Crown)
    • VanAcker ran the 8k in 25:54.70 which was tops in the UMAC.
    • Broke the Crown College school record by 46 seconds.
Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
  • Josh Bellamy (UW-Superior)
    • Had 3 goals and 1 assist to lead the Yellowjackets to 2 UMAC wins last week.
    • Recorded a hat trick against Crown as a defender.
Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
  • Antonio Lima (Bethany Lutheran)
    • Scored 3 goals last week to help the Vikings to 2 UMAC wins.
    • Has scored goals in 5 straight matches.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
  • Elysabeth Lough (Northland)
    • Had back to back shutouts against Minnesota Morris and Crown.
    • The sophomore recorded 14 saves against Morris and 5 against Crown.
Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
  • Haley Mersberger (Northwestern)
    • Scored 3 goals and had an assist this week.
    • Lead UNW to a 2-0 week in UMAC play.
Volleyball Setter of the Week
  • Rachel Callow (Northland)
    • Led the Jills to a 3-0 week.
    • Had 41 assists against Finlandia, 31 against Crown, and 35 against Minnesota Morris.
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
  • Larissa Fossum (Northland)
    • Led the Jills with 45 kills last week, including 6 aces.
    • Led the Jills offensively to a 3-0 week.
Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
  • Marylyn Schroyer (Northwestern)
    • Schroyer became the all-time UNW career digs leader last week, breaking DIII National Player of the Year Lindsey Peterson's record of 2,227.
    • Recorded 57 digs on the week (5.0 per set).
Football Offensive Player of the Week
  • Garrett Paul (Greenville)
    • Paul recorded 4 touchdown's and 181 yards of total offense on Saturday.
    • Led the Panthers to a come from behind win over Martin Luther.
Football Defensive Player of the Week
  • Nathan Golisch (Martin Luther)
    • Golisch had 6 tackles on Saturday against Greenville.
    • Recorded 2 interceptions.
Football Special Teams Player of the Week
  • Lucas Hermo (Greenville)
    • Made the game winning field goal with 4 seconds on the clock to beat Martin Luther.
