Wisconsin-Superior Captures UMAC Men's Cross-Country Championship for 2nd Straight Year

ST. BONIFACIUS, MN - For the second consecutive year, and the fifth time in the last six years, the University of Wisconsin-Superior has won the UMAC Men's Cross-Country Championship.

Men's Results

The Yellowjackets had five runners finish inside the top fourteen to finish with fifty points. Martin Luther was step for step with UW-Superior however and had three runners finish in the top ten to also finish with fifty points. The two teams went to a tiebreaker where the Yellowjackets ended up coming out on top.

Individually, Jeremiah VanAcker of Crown College won the individual UMAC championship by running a time of 27:05.6. VanAcker finished fifteen seconds ahead of Michael Butterfield of UW-Superior who finished in second. Gregory Peterson rounded out the top three by running a time of 27:46.4.

Runners who placed 1-8 are considered First Team All-UMAC while 9-16 are Second Team All-UMAC. Official awards release will come out on Monday.
