UMAC Player of the Week Awards - March 8, 2021
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated by UMAC coaches and athletics communications/sports information staff and selected by the latter. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mason Brock, Fy., Crown
Richmond, Texas/William B. Travis
- Hit .462 with 1.308 slugging in five games to lead Crown to two wins
- Collected six extra base hits including three triples and a home run
- Owned .682 on-base percentage with eight runs and eight walks
BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Gavin Boots, So., Crown
Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove
- Pitched four innings of relief with a 0.00 ERA in two games
- Allowed just three total hits and no earned runs
- Held batters to .214 average
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Anders, Sr., St. Scholastica
Port Angeles, Wash./Sequim
- Led St. Scholastica to 3-1 week
- Went 6-for-14 (.429) with four RBI, a double and two runs
- Recorded two stolen bases on two attempts
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Tayler Kraemer, Fy., Wisconsin-Superior
Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights
- Earned a complete-game shutout win over Augsburg
- Allowed just two hits and three walks
- Struck out five and held batters to .091 hitting percentage
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Adam Ryerse, So., Northwestern
Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge
- Led Eagles to a wins over St. Norbert and Ripon
- Earned straight-set wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles
- Collected pair of 8-2 wins at No. 2 doubles
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Belinda Weddle, Jr., Northwestern
Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander
- Earned the deciding point in 5-4 win over St. Norbert
- Won 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 10-5 at No. 2 singles in the win
- Added two wins at No. 1 doubles and another at No. 2 singles on the week
