UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Dec. 13, 2021
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated by UMAC coaches and athletics communications/sports information staff and selected by the latter. The awards are regularly published Monday afternoons.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ryan Rawlings, Sr., Northland
Bowie, Md.
- Averaged 22.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.5 apg in two UMAC wins
- Scored career-high 26 points in win vs. Bethany Lutheran
- Shot 50% vs. BLC and went 12-of-13 at the line in two games
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hanna Geistfeld, Sr., Bethany Lutheran
Truman, Minn./Martin Luther
- Averaged 23.3 ppg, 16 rpg and 2.33 apg in three wins
- Scored 18 and hit game-winning free throw vs. No. 3 UW-Eau Claire
- Shot 52% from the field and went 24-of-29 at the line
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Michael Butterfield, Fy., Wisconsin-Superior
Bovey, Minn./Greenway
- Won the 5,000-meter run at CSS Opener Saturday
- Clocked PR time of 16:49.67 to win by 25 seconds
- Top UMAC finisher in the event
MEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Gage Stankiewicz, Fy., Wisconsin-Superior
Esko, Minn./Esko
- Finished second in shot put at CSS Opener
- Top performance by a Division III competitor
- Tossed 14.09 meters (46-2.75) for 32nd-best mark in Division III
WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Deanna Trucksess, Fy., Northwestern
Spirit Lake, Iowa
- Won the 60-meter dash (8.24) at CSS Opener
- Top Division III finisher in the 200-meter dash (27.48)
- Ran fourth-fastest times in program history in both events
WOMEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kasha Hughlett, Jr., Wisconsin-Superior
Maple, Wis./Northwestern
- Placed third in weight throw with top UMAC mark
- Recorded personal-best 14.45 meters (47-5)
- Added 10th-place finsih in shot put
