UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Feb. 3, 2020
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor track and field. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Vid Milenkovic, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Zurich, Switzerland/DSB Belgrade
- Averaged 22.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg and 3.5 spg to help clinch UMAC playoff berth
- Recorded 10th double-double in win Saturday
- Shot 60.9% from the field and 88.2% from the line
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eva Reinertsen, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Duluth, Minn./Denfeld
- Averaged 22.5 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 3.5 apg and 2.5 spg in two UMAC wins
- Recorded seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season
- Shot 52.8% from the field and 85.7% from the line
MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Samuel Eben Ebai, Jr., Fy., St. Scholastica
Yaounde, Cameroon/P.S.S. Mankon
- Placed second in 60-meter dash at UW-Stout meet
- Clocked UMAC-best 6.99 seconds
- Ranks 30th in Division III, third in Central Region
MEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Trent Merkins, Sr., Minnesota Morris
Cottonwood, Minn./Lakeview
- Won the the shot put at Bethel Gene Glader Classic
- Recorded winning mark of 14.74 meters (48-4.5)
- Season-best mark also ranks 37th in Division III (15.17 meters/49-7.75)
WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
McKenna Langerud, Fy., Minnesota Morris
East Grand Forks, Minn./East Grand Forks
- Won the 3,000-meter run at Bethel Gene Glader Classic
- Clocked a personal-best time of 11:15.03
- Tops the UMAC and is eighth-best in UMM history
WOMEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Hailey Gill, Fy., Minnesota Morris
Alexandria, Minn./Alexandria
- Won the shot put at the Bethel Gene Glader Classic
- Recorded mark of 12.63 meters (41-5.25)
- Ranks 38th in Division III and third-best in UMM history
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Matthew Wedin, So., Northwestern
Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield
- Recorded singles and doubles wins in season opener vs. Saint Mary's
- Earned a comeback, three-set win at No. 2 singles
- Won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles
WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Elizabeth Fink, Sr., St. Scholastica
Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century
- Recorded lone win in Saints' season-opening loss
- Won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles
- First career win at No. 1 singles
