Top-seeded Vikings top UMAC women's basketball tournament set to begin Monday

ST. PAUL, Minn.---For the first time, Bethany Lutheran College will headline the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) women’s basketball postseason tournament field after winning the program's first regular season title Saturday. The tournament is set to begin Monday, Feb. 24 with games taking place at the highest seeds. 

Action begins with a quarterfinal between No. 4 University of Minnesota Morris and No. 5 North Central University Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. The first semifinal sees No. 2 University of Wisconsin-Superior hosting No. 3 University of Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. in  The other semifinal pits No. 1 Bethany Lutheran against the winner of Monday's quarterfinal. The championship match will take place at the location of the highest remaining seed on Saturday, Feb. 29.
