UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Sept. 2, 2019
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.

VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kalley Schwitters, Jr., Northwestern
Clara City, Minn./Central Minnesota Christian
- Recorded three double-doubles in 2-1 weekend for Northwestern
- Averaged 3.4 kills per set with 15 in win over Coe
- Hit .333 with 12 kills in opening win over St. Norbert
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marylyn Schroyer, Fy., Northwestern
Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins
- Led Northwestern defensively in 2-1 tournament outing
- Tallied 62 digs for 5.64 per set average
- Collected 25 digs in four-set win over Coe Saturday
VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
Cassy Teff, Fy., Wisconsin-Superior
Foley, Minn./Foley
- Tallied two triple-doubles and a double-double
- Recorded 29 assists in win over Macalester
- Averaged 5.06 assists, 2.94 digs, and 2.18 kills
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Led Wisconsin-Superior to two opening weekend wins
- Scored two goals on three total shots
- Recorded the game-winner against Austin
MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Recorded shutout win in Jackets' 4-0 season-opening win
- Recorded six saves against Austin
- Earned his sixth career shutout
WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Led Bethany Lutheran to dominant win over Nebraska Christian
- Scored two goals to move to 19 career goals
- Tallied 11 shots on goal
WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Megan Jordan, Sr., Northland
Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson
- Recorded 14 saves and allowed one goal vs. Finlandia
- Tallied 28 saves in loss to Bethel
- Averaged 21 saves in two games
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Lars Dewall, Fy., St. Scholastica
Lakeland, Minn./Stillwater
- Led St. Scholastica to team victory at the Twin Cities Twilight
- Clocked the top UMAC time (21:00) in the four-mile race
- Placed second and was five seconds off the leader
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK

- Led St. Scholastica to second-place finish at Twin Cities Twilight
- Recorded the best UMAC time (18:16) in the three-mile race
- Placed fourth among the field of 130 runners

- Earned medalist honors with score of 71 (-1)

- Twin Ports Collegiate medalist with program-record 151 (+8)
- Shot tournament low round 73 (+2) on day two
- Recorded tournament-best 22 pars and four birdies
