UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Dec. 2, 2019
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of men's and women's basketball. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:
MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Carlson, So., St. Scholastica
Canyon, Minn./South Ridge
- Scored 37 points in OT win over Finlandia
- Went 12-of-20 (60%) with 30 points in second half and OT
- Added 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mia Wassink, Sr., Minnesota Morris
Edgerton, Minn./Edgerton
- Recorded career-high 21 points in loss to Mayville State
- Added eight rebounds
- Shot 62.5% from the field
