With the win, the Knights advance to the conference semifinal round Wednesday. They have been unbeaten in their last four games after winning two-straight last week to earn a berth and the right to host Monday's contest.

After a scoreless first half of back-and-forth play, the No. 5 Vikings got on the board first as one of the UMAC's leading scorers in Maddie Perry launched a long shot from nearly 30 yards out that sailed under the top bar of the net to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead in the 64th minute.

The Knights appeared late in the second half to have their backs against the wall, but keeper Mollie Fischer came up big when they needed it most – in the 72nd minute, Fischer stopped a penalty kick attempt before immediately making a save on the rebound attempt.

Following the big play, the Knights used the momentum to generate some pressure before getting the equalizer on an own goal in the 84th minute. Finally, Avery Broyles sent the Knights into the semifinal in the overtime period with a score off a corner kick from Maya Aden.

The Knights were led offensively by Mary Falk with three shots on goal, while Fischer tallied six saves in the win. Perry had four of the Vikings' seven shots on goal with Zoe Kinakin recording six saves. The Vikings finish their impressive season with a 8-10 overall record.

The Knights will travel to Duluth, Minnesota, Wednesday to take on No. 1 College of St. Scholastica at 11 a.m. with a spot in the championship game on the line. The other semifinal is set for 4 p.m. as No. 2 University of Northwestern hosts No. 3 University of Wisconsin-Superior in St. Paul.
