UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Oct. 14, 2019
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball and men's and women's soccer. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Wyatt Ellis, So., Westminster
Owensville, Mo./Owensville
- Led Westminster to 33-30 comeback win over MacMurray
- Ran for 114 yards and three touchdowns
- Threw for 157 yards and a touchdown
FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jake Kukowski, Fy., St. Scholastica
Aitkin, Minn./Aitkin
- Led St. Scholastica definsively in win over Northwestern
- Made two interceptions to set up touchdowns
- Added eight tackles and two pass breakups
FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Corey Huard, Jr., Crown
Prescott, Ariz./Prescott
- Went perfect 4-for-4 on PATs in Crown win
- Averaged 49.2 yards per kickoff with one touchback
- Has converted his last nine extra point attempts
VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jenay Fuglestad, Jr., Northwestern
Maple Grove, Minn./Heritage Christian
- Averaged 4.25 k/s and hit .305 in 3-1 week for Northwestern
- Recorded career-best 23 kills in five-set win over Stevens
- Tallied 11 kills in loss to No. 18-ranked St. Thomas
VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alcia Draper, Fy., St. Scholastica
Williams, Minn./Lake of the Woods
- Averaged 6.0 d/s three wins last week
- Recorded season-high 30 digs in win over Hamline
- First Saint since 2006 to tally 30 digs in three-set match
VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK

Clara City, Minn./MACCRAY
- Tallied 6.3 ast./s and 3.0 d/s in two-setter rotation
- Recorded 18-assist, 15-dig double-double vs. Hamline
- Tallied season-high 26 assists in win vs. Martin Luther
MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eric Watson, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Thunder Bay, Ontario/Haamarskjold
- Led Wisconsin-Superior to two UMAC wins last week
- Scored three goals including a game-winner vs. North Central
- Broke program scoring record of 37 goals Saturday
MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Payton Anderson, Jr., Wisconsin-Superior
Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing
- Led Wisconsin-Superior in goal in two wins
- Earned first career shut out Wednesday with two saves
- Played 75 minutes of combined shutout in win Saturday

- Led Northwestern defensively in two UMAC wins
- Limited opponents to total of just 10 shots in two games
- Recorded three shots offensively and played two complete games
