ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon. 

The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8692Tanner Youngberg, Jr., Northwestern
Pocahontas, Iowa./Pocahontas Area
- Led Northwestern to two UMAC-opening wins on the week
- Averaged 21.0 ppg and 11.5 rpg on 62 percent shooting
- Tallied 22 points, 15 boards and five assists vs. North Central  



WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8649Hannah Norlin, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield
- Led Wisconsin-Superior to two wins to open the UMAC season
- Averaged 16.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg on 42.9 percent shooting
- Recorded back-to-back double-doubles (19-10 and 16-10)



MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
8693Jake Weston, So., Wisconsin-Superior
Virginia, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert
- Recorded UMAC-best time in 400-meter dash Saturday
- Clocked a time of 52.98 to place third with top Division III time in the race
- Helped 4 x 400-meter relay team place third with 52-second split  



MEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
8691Frank Cerar, Sr., St. Scholastica
Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville
- Recorded second-best program mark in heptathlon Saturday
- Scored 4,459 points with three event PRs
- Won the shot put and tied for first in the pole vault



WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
8253Aria Plewa, So., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Duluth East
- Won the mile at the CSS Opener Meet Saturday
- Clocked a time of 5:26.46 that was 44 seconds ahead of next finisher
- Currently leads the UMAC and ranks 25th in Division III



WOMEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
8695Anika Kling, Jr., St. Scholastica
Hudson, Wis./Hudson
- Placed fourth in the long jump Saturday at CSS Opener
- Recorded personal-best mark 5.05 meters (16-7)
- Leads UMAC in the event as well as the 60- and 200-meter dashes
