ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football and men's and women's basketball. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon. 

The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8630Justin Masloski, Jr., Minnesota Morris
Underwood, Minn./Underwood
- Led Minnesota Morris to a season finale win over Greenville
- Was 12-of-24 passing for 144 yards and a TD
- Ran for 152 yards on 13 carries (11.5 yd/carry) and a TD



FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8634George Obitz, So., Northwestern
Florence, Ariz./Florence
- Led Northwestern defensively in 28-0 win with eight tackles and one TFL
- Recorded a fumble recovery, interception, pass break up and QB hurry
- Blocked a punt that led to a recovery for a touchdown



FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8631Sebastian Alvarado, Jr., Crown
Blaine, Minn./Blaine
- Returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown
- Averaged 28.3 yards/punt on three returns
- Totaled 82 kick return yards



MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8632Cire Mayfield, Fy., Bethany Lutheran
St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park
- Led Bethany Lutheran in two season-opening wins
- Averaged 21 ppg, seven assists per game and shot 54 percent
- Tallied a game-high 24 points in a win over Carleton



WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8633Abby Olson, So., Bethany Lutheran
Montevideo, Minn./Montevideo
- Led the Vikings to 2-0 start to the season
- Averaged 22.5 ppg and shot 45.2 percent from the field
- Recorded a game-high 27 points vs. Mayville State
