Earlier this month, Swore was one of five UMAC players to earn All-West Region honors, but was the only selection on the First Team. His strong contributions in many different aspects of special teams for the Eagles helped him become the third UMAC athlete to earn All-America football honors this fall.

Swore was a key part of a Northwestern defense and special teams unit that was near the top of the UMAC all season. The junior totaled just 44 punts on the season, but averaged 32.9 yards per punt, had four touchbacks and landed nine inside the 20 with a long punt of 52 yards. He also blocked three kicks to add to his strength on special teams. Defensively, Swore ranked in the top 10 in the nation for interceptions (7) and was second in the UMAC for pass breakups with 15.

This is the 19th season in which D3football.com has named an All-America team. Brett Kasper of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Mamadou Soumahoro of Berry College was named Defensive Player of the Year. National Champion Mount Union saw head coach Vince Kehres voted Coach of the Year.
