Bethany Lutheran's David Balza to Join Tubby Smith at Coaches Clinic

MANKATO, Minn. – Bethany men’s basketball Head Coach David Balza will join Gopher Head Coach Tubby Smith at the University of Minnesota men’s basketball program’s sixth annual Coaches Clinic on Saturday, November 3rd from 7:30-11:30 a.m.
Coach Smith reached out to Coach Balza to invite him not only to participate but to lead a section of the clinic with the Bethany men’s basketball student-athletes. The clinic will give attending coaches the opportunity to interact with Coach Smith and Coach Balza as they will both be teaching different sections throughout the day. The registration fee is $50.
The Bethany Vikings had a stand out season last year capturing the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference regular season Championship for the first time in school history. The first game of the season for Bethany will be an exhibition game on November 10th at Minnesota State, Mankato. The Gophers will actually take on the Mavericks as well in their exhibition game on November 1st.
Recruitable age participants (male or female currently in the 7th-12th grade, junior college, or prep school) are NOT permitted to register for or attend the clinic.

8:00 a.m.: Gopher Basketball Practice with
Tubby Smith (Williams Arena)
10:00 a.m.: Drills with Bethany Lutheran College, led by head coach David Balza (Williams Arena)
