Northland's Lindsey Hamm reaches 1,000 point plateau

ASHLAND, Wis. -- Northland College guard Lindsey Hamm reached a career milestone on Nov. 22, as the senior scored the 1,000th point of her career in a game versus Wisconsin-Platteville. Hamm, a psychology magor from Ontonagon, Mich., reached the plateau on a free throw at the 3:01 mark in the first half of the championship game of the Dunn's Sporting Goods Tournament.
Hamm, the 2008-09 UMAC Player of the Year for women's basketball has been a first team all-conference player in all three years of her career as a LumberJill. Hamm helped lead her team to the 2008-09 UMAC Regular Season and Postseason Tournament Championships. In addition to her accolades from the regular season, Hamm was also named the UMAC Postseason Tournament MVP.
Off the court, Hamm received an academic all-conference award last year for her efforts in the classroom.
