The College of St. Scholastica baseball team relied on experienced seniors to clinch its 20th-straight UMAC title. In the final week of the regular season, it was senior Al Marolt who stepped up in a major way. Marolt went an impressive 12-19 over the final five games of the season and finished the week with 10 runs and 11 RBI. He also went 4-for-4 in stole base attempts and ended with an incredible .708 slugging percentage and .579 on base percentage. The senior also had three hits and three RBI in the sweep of No. 15 University of St. Thomas Sunday. Marolt finished the UMAC schedule third in hits (28) and fourth in average (.459). Marolt and the Saints host the University of Minnesota Morris Thursday in the opening round of the UMAC tournament in Duluth.
