The College of St. Scholastica track and field team enjoyed a successful final outing before the UMAC Championships at the Saint Mary's University Open Saturday. Taylor Gibson was one of the Saints' top finishers on the day winning the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.98. Her time was a season best and was good enough to outrun 47 other competitors from both Division II and III, as well as NAIA, levels. The junior's time is the second-fastest in the UMAC this season. Gibson and the Saints will look to defend their UMAC title at the Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships set to begin Friday afternoon in Morris.
