The Bethany Lutheran College baseball team earned a crucial split with the University of Minnesota Morris Saturday and it couldn't have happened without the strong pitching of Brandyn Olsen. The junior hurler helped the Vikings take the opening game 4-3 in 12 innings. Olsen earned the complete game on the mound allowing just two earned runs en route to his second win of the season in just 21 innings pitched. He gave up just 10 hits in the marathon game and fanned two batters. At the plate he also added four hits on the week. Olsen and the Vikings will look to keep postseason hopes alive with crucial series against Crown College and the University of Wisconsin-Superior this weekend.
