Rookie Elli Stevenson didn't take long to ink her name in the University of Minnesota Morris softball records as she tossed the first-known no-hitter in program history Saturday to lead the Cougars to a win over Bethany Lutheran College. The first-year walked the first batter of the game, but was perfect the rest of the way striking out four batters in the 8-0 win. Earlier in the week, Stevenson pitched eight innings and allowed just one earned run in a 3-1 heartbreaking loss to Crown College. She struck out six batters and finished the week with an impressive 0.54 earned run average (ERA). Stevenson and the Cougars face Martin Luther College and North Central University this week.
