The University of Northwestern-St. Paul men's tennis team scored three key wins last week against UMAC opponents to jump to second in the standings with a 4-1 record. CJ Lloyd was crucial to the Eagles' success scoring three wins at No. 1 singles and three more at No. 1 doubles. The sophomore scored two straight-set singles wins and grabbed a huge win over Bethany Lutheran College's Brent Heflin in a third-set tiebreaker to help his squad to a 7-2 decision. Against North Central University, Lloyd and partner Brent Jacobus cruised to a perfect 8-0 win. The Eagles will look to solidify a spot in the postseason with two matches this week against the University of Minnesota Morris.
