The Northland College baseball team scored two wins over Bethany Lutheran in the UMAC Game of the Week Sunday thanks to a standout performance from Alex Elliott. The sophomore finished the two-game series with a .500 average after going 5-of-10 at the plate and a 1.600 slugging percentage. Elliott tallied three RBI in each game and a total of four runs scored. In the opener, he hit a double and a home run before hitting another double and two homers in the second outing. Elliott now leads the UMAC in RBI (21), ranks second in hits (24) and is third for slugging (.644). Northland will face Martin Luther College in conference action Saturday.
