The University of Northwestern-St. Paul men's tennis team face tough competition last week as it traveled south to take on two Wisconsin programs. Despite coming up empty as a team, first-year Landon Ridpath was nothing short of impressive for the Eagles. The rookie claimed a huge win at the No. 3 singles spot in a narrow 4-5 loss to Edgewood College taking both sets by scores of 7-5. He also teamed up with Derek Williams at the No. 2 doubles position for a much-needed 8-5 win. Ridpath and the Eagles finally return to conference action Saturday after taking several weeks off as they face Bethany Lutheran and Martin Luther Colleges.
