Though the University of Northwestern-St. Paul scored just one win in tough week of non-conference play, Jennifer Ankrom had a standout week going an impressive 6-of-12 at the plate to lead the Eagles. The junior scored four runs in the Eagles' 12-3 destruction of Macalester College. She also tallied two RBI in an eight-inning heartbreaker with Augsburg which included a home run. Ankrom ended the week with a .538 on-base percentage and remarkable .833 slugging percentage. So far this season, Ankrom ranks ninth in the UMAC in runs (11) and in the top 20 in nine other offensive categories. Ankrom and the Eagles open conference play against Crown College Tuesday before taking on North Central UniversitySaturday.
