First-year Meghan Schroeder logged a solid 13.1 innings of work in three appearances on the mound last week for the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. The Eagle pitcher earned the decision in an impressive 12-3 win over Macalester College Tuesday. She also threw 8.1 innings for a complete game in a heart-breaking 5-4 loss to Augsburg College Thursday. Schroeder finished the week with a 3.36 ERA and currently ranks eighth in the UMAC with a 4.06 ERA. The first-year has also collected four complete games and three wins early in her rookie season. Northwestern is set to open conference play against Crown College Tuesday before taking on North Central University Saturday.
