The Bethany Lutheran College men's tennis team earned a much-needed victory in its first UMAC contest this season. Behind the solid play of sophomore Brent Heflin, the vikings claimed a decisive 8-1 win over North Central University Friday. Heflin won 6-1, 6-3 over Ian Bird at the top singles spot after taking down the Bird duo 8-2 at the No. 1 doubles spot with partner Dalton Wreckman. Heflin and the Vikings will take a week off of competition before getting back in the swing of things on Saturday, April 2 when they face Midland University before taking on league-leading College of St. Scholastica.
