The St. Scholastica baseball team's 6-2 victory over the predicted Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) favorite Bethel University was nothing short of spectacular Saturday. Solid pitching helped, but senior Marolt was the cause of celebration early as he hit a rare in-the-park grand slam in the top of the first to give the Saints a lead they never surrendered. The 2015 UMAC Honorable Mention selection added a RBI double in the top of the fifth to account for nearly all of the team's scoring. He finished with a career-high five RBI and went 2-of-3 at the plate in the Saints' opening winning. Marolt and the Saints face the MIAC's Saint Mary's this Saturday in a 1 p.m. doubleheader in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
