UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Oct. 21, 2019
ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's cross country. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon.
The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Zach Edwards, Sr., St. Scholastica
St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley
- Became first CSS player to throw over 500 yards in a game
- Finished with 509 yards passing and three TDs
- Added one rushing touchdown
FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anthony Esquivel, Jr., Greenville
Rowland Heights, Calif./John A. Rowland
- Led Greenville to first win over St. Scholastica since 2010
- Finished with 12 total tackles including 3.5 sacks
- Added a forced fumble and three QB hurries
FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Went perfect 3-for-3 on PATs in Martin Luther win
- Added a 33-yard field goal
- Recorded seven punts with three inside the 20-yard line

- Led Northwestern to four straight-sets wins in N.J.
- Averaged 3.1 k/s and hit .370 for all-tournament honors

- Scored two goals in 2-1 win over Minnesota Morris
