ST. PAUL, Minn.--- The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) announced its Player of the Week award winners Monday in the sports of football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's golf. The UMAC Player of the Week awards are nominated for by UMAC coaches and sports information directors (SIDs) and selected by SIDs. The awards are published each Monday afternoon. 

The award winners and descriptions of their accomplishments for the week are below:

FOOTBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8302Zach Edwards, Jr., St. Scholastica
St. Paul, Minn./Henry Sibley
- Led St. Scholastica to 48-20 win over Crown
- Passed for career-high 371 yards and four touchdowns
- Set a program record with 29 pass completions



FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8301Javon Muhammad, Sr., MacMurray
Chicago, Ill./Glenbard West
- Led MacMurray defensively in 40-0 shutout of Minnesota Morris
- Recorded 13 tackles including 5.5 for a loss of 22 yards
- Tallied one sack, one forced fumble and a pass break up



FOOTBALL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8300Isaiah Zepeda, Jr., Crown
Los Fresnos, Calif./Los Fresnos
- Recorded a 54-yard punt that resulted in 77-yard gain for Crown
- Tallied two punts over 50 yards
- Averaged 45 yards per punt on seven attempts



VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8307Brooke Schermann, Jr., St. Scholastica
Brooklyn Park, Minn./Totino-Grace
- Averaged 4.14 kills per set in four matches last week
- Recorded three double-doubles including 17 kills, 12 digs vs. Bethel 
- Picked up 18-kill effort in loss to Luther



VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8309Katelyn Aswege, Fy., Martin Luther
Theinsville, Wis./Kettle Morraine Lutheran
- Helped Martin Luther to two UMAC wins Saturday
- Led defensively with 43 digs (5.38 per set)
- Tallied match-high 25 digs in win over Crown



VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK
8308Layne Herrmann, Jr., Minnesota Morris
Brownton, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake
- Averaged 10.6 assists per set in three matches last week
- Recorded 50 assists in five-set win over Wisconsin-Stout
- Tallied an assist-dig double-double vs. the Blue Devils
 


MEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8304Joe Graumann, Jr., Martin Luther
Fort Atkinson, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran
- Led Martin Luther to 1-0-1 record last week
- Tallied goals in both win over Northwestern and tie vs. Bethany Lutheran
- Recorded team-high 13 shots and six on goal over two games
 


MEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8306Felix Blick, Jr., Wisconsin Superior
Linkoping, Sweden/Katedralskolan
- Led Wisconsin-Superior defensively in 1-0-1 week
- Anchored back line that allowed just two goals in two games
- Scored against Augsburg and tallied assist on lone goal vs. St. Scholastica



WOMEN'S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8310Morgan Friday, Fy., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's
- Recorded six goals in pair of UMAC wins last week
- Tallied four goals including three in 38-minute span vs. Crown
- Converted on both penalty kick attempts (one each game)



WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8311Lexie DeWall, Jr., St. Scholastica
Proctor, Minn./Proctor
- Led defensive effort in two UMAC wins for the Saints
- Anchored a defense that went 176 minutes without allowing a goal
- Recorded two assists in win over Crown



MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
8279Jordan Koski, Sr., Wisconsin-Superior
Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon
- Top UMAC finisher at Augsburg Invitational
- Completed the 8,000-meter course in 27:24.2
- Placed seventh in field of 316 finishers; 'Jackets were ninth of 23 teams



WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
8253Aria Plewa, So., St. Scholastica
Duluth, Minn./Duluth East
- Top UMAC finisher at Augsburg Invitational
- Finished the 6,000-meter course in 25:34.3
- Placed 37th individually in field of 312 finishers



MEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8305Caleb Johnson, Sr., Northwestern
Ham Lake, Minn./Legacy Christian
- Led Northwestern to team win at NCCAA Regional
- Earned medalist honors with two-day score of 145 (+1)
- Recorded top UMAC round of the season 68 (-4) on day two



WOMEN'S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
8303Payton Sierra, Fy., Minnesota Morris
Porcupine, S.D./Red Cloud
- Led Minnesota Morris to dual win over Martin Luther Friday
- Recorded season-best score of 83 (+11)
- Claimed medalist honors
